Sorry Ben, its already well on its way to being speedball. Look at all the guys who claim to be into Military Simulation who use clockwork mechanism, and electric driven high capacity magazines.

While I agree with your point in spirit, Alex, I own and play with hicaps out of simple economy, not a need for uber-ammo powerups. A hicap costs little more than a standard, and, well, holds lots of BBs. When I can afford to be puritanical about the realism of my magazine capacity, I will. In the meantime, I'll use my hicaps to supplement my standards.

I am not talking about the people who start with a hicap, and move towards standards. I am talking about the people who buy more than a single hicap, and use them instead of standards.

For the record - I own 1 AK high-cap. I've been known to throw it out for others to use, and i personally avoid using it. I bought it when McNair and I went to play with PSAC a long time ago. I also own one MP5 hicap, because i borrowed a kids when my weapon wasnt working, and then lost it (and never saw him again). Since then, I've loaned it out to people, and have avoiding using it personally.

Theres matters of economy - providing a squad-automatic at a reasonable cost or players who are just starting - and those are understandable.

Then theres matters of utter douche-baggery (enjoy the new word?) for example- at Turner, when one group decided it would be cool to all carry 5000 round boxes.

Likewise Alex. I own one hicap, and switch to it only when I've run out of all my other mags. Of course, I tend to change mags alot (a bad or good habit, I'm still not sure). I've got this habit of dropping a half empty mag when I'm done with a fight and putting in a fresh one that I know is full. This means I've got 1 or 2 somewhat empty mags on me at any given time. I guess I just feel more comfortable with a full mag in when I'm starting a fight.

I love everything airsoft (responding to the poll)!

As for hi-caps and regular mags, I like a mixture of both.
