There have been a few 'national' sites that I would consider successful. Kelly's Airsoftguns.com, and Brian's Airsoftzone.com were 'national' sites that I really liked. I did not like Pikachoad's Airsoftplayers.com (but I'll confess that PikaChoad annoyed me greatly). I lurk a little at Airsoftretreat, and every time I log in, I am reminded at why I don't lurk there often.

I'd really hate to see a massive influx of bleeding retards who are incapable of using the search button, and who have never heard of Google. I despise people who are incapable of doing research and speaking English. I can forgive poor grammar/spelling when people from Portugal or China are posting here. I can not forgive the same in Americans.

[edit] if AP goes national it will cease to be AP in my opinion. you've got a niche market with the hyperlocalism. let ASR and ASF deal with the LPEG masses.

I agree thoroughly with you Martin.

The vast majority are leaning towards regional. I am too. AP has something incredibly special. We have a tight knit community that I am proud to be part of, however little I make it out to games. If AP goes national, exactly as Martin said and variable agreed, it will simply cease to be AP. That special thing this community has is unique, and very few if ANY other communities have it. At least not at this level. We maintain a pretty large community and yet remain tight knit and thoroughly established. The only other place you see that in smaller organizations, which are inherently more prone to simply disappearing. If AP goes national, the special community goes too. It would go away, never to be seen again.

It does seem a bit futile to re-prove this, but I like to say things in my own words if I can. I hope this added to the discussion. :)

STAY REGIONAL...if you want to keep AP as we know it.

hey, why not just expand a little... not just the NW or national but the entire west coast. Of course stay open to national.

Because California sucks. :p

Don't mess with a good thing. Adding a national directory might help people find the resouces they're looking for, however.

I like it the way it is.

There are people from outside the NW, and that's awesome. I think we should continue to cater to the NW. I like getting on here and talking with people I know, and I like having a place to come that has local games posted.

I'd prefer it stay NW focused. It certainly seems to me that galleries and listing on the teams list are already available for those outside the NW that wish to make use of it, which they should be.

I like it this way to be honest... Plenty of good people here to shoot as it is.

It appears that the masses have spoken and are in agreement. Looks like we probably will stay regional.

Well, I hear everyone loud and clear. Let's keep it in the family, while staying open to our visitors outside the area. Pacific Northwest first, everyone else second :)
