Iron Sights, Scopes, or Dots?

Red dot. I like being able to zero in the dot; something I can't really do with iron sights. I've never owned a replica (aside from my Echo1 M16) that actually shot where the iron sights were pointing. I like being able to tweak the hopup to the perfect trajectory and then just put the dot right on the point I want to hit. Scopes are silly on anything but long range platforms, but red dots are perfect for me. The most satisfying shots I've ever taken were with my red dot.

they have a few(one) red dot sights out there that are solar charged i have found one made by tasco, solar power can help with the whole battery problem, but i am sure that there are downfalls of that system as well, nothing is more reliable than iron sights.

does anyone have input on solar power equipment? ie the use of solar power to increase a gun batteries use in the field?

I prefer a scope but that could have something to do with the fact that I'm a sniper.
