I echo the fact that having kills under your belt makes you a reliable expert on the matter. If given the right set of circumstances I could get kills shooting behind my back or between my legs, does this make it a valid shooting posture, hell no. I myself have trained as much as I can, and use a combination of different techniques, that being said I carry with me a lot of bad habits from benchrest shooting. I would not consider myself proficient, not even close, at tactical shooting styles. However, I do not criticize others for using or teaching something different than the Magpul videos show. If someone could reliably, consistently and effectively deploy the aforementioned ridiculous styles of shooting, I would not say they are stupid for doing so.
