Defeating craigslist!

Postby X-Bone » Tue Jun 17, 2014 5:52 pm

As some of you may have noticed craigslist has been cracking down on they're airsoft adds and I wanted to give some tips on how to defeat their automatic flagging system. I'm really not one to break the rules but their changing stance and monopoly pretty much leave us SOL when trying to sell guns. AIRSOFTS NOT A CRIME!

Never make an account or give them your name/number, if you do this it makes it easier for them to flag/ban you out right. Instead place your name/number in the item discription or not at all.
Use different IP locations, again this makes it harder for them to track you down and flag/ban you.
Use multiple email addresses.
Never post your add under sporting goods, this will get you flagged quicker. Instead use game/toys.
If your add is "GHOSTED" wait 24-48 hours to try and post again. Once you're flagged they will watch you over that time and your next adds will be instantly removed.
Never post more than 1 add ever hour.
Never repost the same add, use the repost feature.
Try to avoid words like gun bb pistol etc
After adding your add click on the link they send you multiple times, this tricks craigslist into thinking a lot of peole have seen it, there fore if someone flags it only a small proportion of the veiws have it marked as flag and make the add less likely to be removed.
Keywords help you get noticed but they also get you noticed by craigslist.
Hyperlinks are dangerous much like keywords they will get you noticed as well.
Don't get annoyed when your post gets flagged just take a deep breath and walk away. Worst comes to worst you can always use AP! Or ebay or ebay classified!

Good luck posting!
