Are there specific weapon requirements?

WWII era weaponry. German WWII weapons are preferred. Its not outside the realm of possibility to find a photo of a German Soldier with a M1 carbine, or M1 Garand they've picked up off of the dead. Somewhere around here, I have a photo of a couple Germans guarding the Atlantic Wall carrying Thompsons that had been captured from either the British or the French.

I am not going to say that everyone needs to have a KAR98. I'd like to see that, but its unrealistic considering how expensive they are. By comparison, the MP40 is what . . . 160 bucks?

An MP40 is tempting, but what I really want is a Kar98 unless the MG34 comes out. LPEG or not I'll still want it.

WGC has the modified AGM MP40's on preorder without the campy fire-selector, mags are $10 for 32 round standards. There's just the issue of shipping. I intend to get one soon and start buying up uniform kit. As of right now I've got a mess kit (Kokischir {sp?}), SS belt buckle and leather belt, Leather Y straps with waffenampt, and the odd kar98 pouch, sling w/waffenampt, and cleaning rod. A modest start. The pouch, cleaning rod and sling will probably be put into a gear bin or sold to a rifleman as I plan on running smg. Again I'm going to post that ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/ww2militaria-keith7524fnl

Okay, I'm not down with being an SS panzergrenadier, but I'll enjoy getting shot by you guys!

Here are a few Waffen SS Panzergrenadier photos I've picked up in my travels. All three were taken on the Eastern Front. The first one shows a scene from the counter-attack at Kharkov.
