world war 2 rangers/marines set pics anyone?

Discussion of Airsoft use for re-enactment, WWII/WWI airsoft, Vietnam and more.

I just tried translating that in just about every major language, nothing came up, did it have any unusal punctuation on any of the letters? like in German sometimes they'll put the two dots on top of a vowel or something. And I havent the foggiest as to what kind of helmet it is, it's deffinately not American or British, my guess is Russian.

German or a german speaking country.

It looks like an early version of the german helmet from World War Two. I can't remember the name of it.

Nope. None of those are on the words. just plain old "schluga 98" on it. I've been searching on google for helmet liners and even on ebay, but this particular one never showed up. My guess is this is a Chinese POS scratched up to look used and sold to army surplus stores to be labled as G.I. issued!! But I'll keep looking anyways.

BTW I've searched for Schluga on google, they listed people's names followed by a bunch of German, so this may be a german liner after all.

Also, on http://cgi.ebay.com/German-helmet-liner ... dZViewItem

I found a German liner that's similar to this, but uses stitches to lace it up.

if it's german it's really early german, but i've never seen it. the closest german helmet i can think of would be their fallschirmjager (paratrooper) helmets. even their world war one mirrored their world war two ones.

German postwar M60 helmet, the precursor to their Kevlar helmets.

Alright guys I've edited my original post... now im looking for a set that would look well with the helmet. I'll research that tomorrow as I'm tired after my two hour google search and because it's almost midnight. But if you guys want to post ideas, that'd be nice as well. Thanks!

-will be correct for the period that helmet was in use. The flecktarn pattern was undergoing trials in 1976, and wasn't adopted until 1990. There are M60 helmet covers that were produced in Flecktarn and they shouldn't be difficult to find, surplus, ebay etc.
