Most of the threads here are WWII but it's time for Vietnam
Post links for Vietnam War gear information or sources to get the gear.

One thing I've been staring at is a group some of you might have heard of.

Tiger Force Recon

Most people have heard about them, without knowing it. If My Lai means anything to you, supposedly these were the guys. They've got a lot of really useful photos, and also a lot of great stories from the war. I've been using this website for most of my research into my Vietnam loadout, along with the stories from my grandfather.

I've especially enjoyed the file on Stan Parker.

I'll also recommend two books : Blood Trails, which is essentially the combat diary of a grunt foot-soldier during his tour, and Letters to Mom. Blood Trails discussion of grenades is probably a highlight. While not heavy on technical details, they do provide insights into SOP and life in 'nam.
The King Of al-Talk. Hey, at least I'm not a troll.

My dog wouldn't know what to do with a duck if she caught it, but she's cute. And hates Mexicans. +1!

I also have a full set of web gear (Y harness canteens, .45 holster, etc...) for sale to go with this. If you're REALLY set on a Vietnam loadout, I have a bandoleer set complete with seven (7) Colt 20 round magazines (real steel) ALL from the late 60s/early 70s. Included is the original carboard silencers, stripper clips, and stripper clip loading tool and the cotton bandoller itself. It is straight museum quality.

Make me offers on any of it.
Please buy your gear from Rick Fisher; perhaps he can buy a Life.

And www.mooremilitaria.com is the place to get gear.
