i would go into photoshop and add sepia tone, or go into color variation, and hit it with yellow and red till it ages up a bit.

then it would look truely epic.

like this

after

i went into edit/ajustments/variations ( at the bottom of menu)

darkened and added yellow and cyan, until i reach this custom sepia tone
print it out, cut it up a bit, burn the edges and fold it a few times for age creaseing, and you have your own vintage VN photo.

for mounting, stain a piece of wood or a plaque, and laqure it to the wood for a fine finish to a great photo.

Kids - this is why Renegade is putting together a 101st ABN unit. :-p I'm just the mouthy bastard ;)

(and, its other 'period' events in the region that are giving a few of us the motivation to put together a WWII German and American unit. The Ami's need bodies. You know you want to put on a WWII uniform, grab an M1 and get down to business)

If you're going to go to war against a major enemy, go; knock the hell out of him fast, and go in there to kill him and get it over with.

Looks badass. Maybe someday I'll get my "grandpa bob" loadout ready.

If you want a good site to get some inspiration for vintage VN photos, go to www.tigerforcerecon.com, and look in the photo albums. They've simply scanned in photos, that have been stored god knows where. Lots of little inspirations for gear, too. I'd like to get a Tiger Force unit together, myself.
The King Of al-Talk. Hey, at least I'm not a troll.

My dog wouldn't know what to do with a duck if she caught it, but she's cute. And hates Mexicans. +1!

They did have color film. The photos just look better in black and white. Sepia tone is more of a WWII thing, I have not found many (any) Vietnam vintage photos in sepia.

These photos were taken by Charles Peterson ( www.charlespeterson.net ) he says, "I actually like the look of slide film (Kodachrome) like the journalists used vs the faded snapshot."

There will be more photos over on our site that are appropriately "aged" for the period in the next few days as Charles works on them.
