Now, this is going to sound really dumb, about halfway through. Read all of it, before you react.

I'm considering publishing a Suggested Reading/Viewing list on the website. The sort of things people might want to look at, before they join up. However, it's kind a short list. I'm really hoping to expand on it. There's probably a few I haven't seen, and quite a few I haven't read. I need to start reading new books. I can only read Cobraville so many times before it just gets pointless.

Reading List:
Chuck Pfarrer - Warrior Soul
Masters of Chaos - Linda Robinson

Viewing List:
Tears of the Sun

Now, I know, it may seem silly, but since 90% of everything we do is about the coolness factor, it seems, why not get some Hollywood going in there?

So, what would you guys add to the list?

Was US Navy SEALs a good movie? I'm told it was.

Navy SEALs is the kind of movie you watch half drunk for added comedy value.

Otherwise it's just sad. :(

Add

"Six Silent Men" To the Reading list, there are three volumes first by Reynel Martinez, the second is by Ken Miller, and the third is by Gary Linderer.

It's a three part anthology of the LRRP's (Long range Reconiassince Patrols) or Lurps in Vietnam. Now I know there were Navy SEALS in Vietnam but a lot of the Lurp Doctrine as far as land war would faze into Navy Seal and SF training. The Lurps originally come from the 101st and later the 2nd Ranger Btln but they're good books for anyone whos obsessed with all things SF, trust me on that.

Good books all Around. And avoid US Navy Seals, I personally like Charlie Sheen, but he ruins that movie.

Yeah, I'm digging this one up! I'm getting pretty tired of not having a decision, and I'm thinking I might just go ahead and use the US Navy Subdued Special Warfare Qualifier breast badge as the team patch, in the regulation fashion, along with the name tapes and SEAL TEAM 15 tapes we have.

So, here's the important question: if the team shows up on the field wearing this, who's gonna try to rip our balls off for it? I'd appreciate no drama, and I think I've made my point before that we're just actors, but you know how people get.

With the SEAL Trident you're gonna offend more people than you would with another patch.

Technically, you'd be ok, but people are gonna get all ticked over it anyway. If you want no drama, leave it off. If you want to stay in one piece, wear it and learn self-defense.

I personally don't have a problem with it.

So you've dredged this thread up from almost a year ago just to say that you made a decision and you want to show off the patch. Congratulations.

This whole patches topic has been BEATEN INTO THE GROUND. Seriously. You want to know who's going to phony pony if you wear them? Wear it and find out, then decide if you give two shits about that person's opinion or not. From there, you can act accordingly.

Goodnight.
