pixie, first of all. reenacting isn't "playing". It's completely different from airsoft.
You don't have little stupid motherfuckers like you have here.
instead, to participate, you've invested quite a lot of money. more than the typical "noob" in airsoft. and usually you need to be sponsored. Its' 10x more intense than airsoft.

reenacting strives for reality.
Reality in ww2 normally didn't include females. that's a fact.
When we did russian there was one girl who came out. Otherwise, ...

It's not upsidedown up or anything like that. and if you think so, you're just ignorant and do not know what the eff you're talking about, kid.

Well, I do see what you're saying [and I'm going to avoid chewing you out for calling me "kid" if that was directed at me], but are you saying that you still find it fair if a woman is just as devoted to the re-enactment as all the men who are on the field. If she puts in the same time and money and skill level, it's still not okay for her to be out there because she's not a man? If your answer is yes, that's fine... it just doesn't make sense to me.

If you say it doesn't make sense to you, then you don't see what he's saying. So I'll try to explain it with less McNairness.

It is okay if she's applying herself to a female role. (rebel, medical aid, and officer for example)

The point of reenacting is Historical Value.

There were no female soldiers on the shores of Monte Cassino, no women on Omaha Beach, etcetera...

The belief is that you do not respect history if you do so.

Okay, I see that, but you're saying that there are roles a woman could play? So turning her away entirely without even offering her an option seems a bit unfair?

Turning her away entirely probably WAS unfair.

But all those jobs women had, weren't combat. And in AIRSOFT, isn't Combat the big idea? =o Not sure she'd want to go to an airsoft game just to sit and wait for downed soldiers in a broken down church :(

Well that would seem to be the case for Brycraw in Indiana. I have seen plenty of pictures with female reenactors doing original roles. I would imagine that group wasn't very open toward others.

The OP was speaking of reenacting, not airsoft.

No... I'm pretty sure he said airsoft re-enactment.

If they were smart, They would have let her in and put her in the kitchen where she belonged!
