30 years ago I would have agreed. Because then women ROCKED in the kitchen.

Now days? Not so much........

I would have to sample the fare to be sure! ;)

Political Correctness is something that is beyond the concept of war. Reinacting a war which restricts roles by merit as well as gender is normal for this sort of thing. Women were medics, spies, and in special cases, were in combat; which was dominated by men. Because women are different then men, and the war machine is predominantly men, the women have to fit in where most functional.

But again, it is reinactment, not reality. So as binarypunisher said, if you cant tell the reality of a soldier's sex, then it doesn't matter. Personally, I think it would be awesome if I were reinacting and I came home to a female medic...

reenacting strives for reality.
Reality in ww2 normally didn't include females. that's a fact.

He's right. And good reenactors strive for authenticity. In their uniforms, insignia, gear, weapons and tactics, even the personal effects they carry. So I can understand why they would not want to allow females on the field in a not period correct role.

Is that fair? Depends on who you ask. But it is historically accurate, and that is the holy grail - the golden rule of reenacting. Maybe hardcore milsim airsoft is the same way?

As for airsoft in general? Heck, the more who want to play, the better as far as I'm concerned, male or female.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Hide the hair and leave off the lipstick, give her a Thompson (or, if it was up to me, an MP-40) and send her out.

There's a guy (student) that lives near us, who is on the high school cheerleading squad. All the other cheerleaders are females.

That could be the smartest man alive! ;)

And he's not even gay!
