But you only get to join in 2 events a year with a soviet impression!

Sadly true. :( Which is why I'm putting together a GI impression once I get my Soviet kit done.

I do FJR6...a lot of the guys are out of WA but we have guys in OR as well. All of our events are in OR or CA (gun laws here suck).

The FJR2 group is cool if you like fat old guys who just like to stand around and who care little about actual authenticity.

If you want a real mix of ages (young and oldish), with actual height/weight standards, a healthy dose of full auto weapons (as in a lot), and a high speed group I would look at FJR6.

There is no unit website yet, but if you want more info email or PM me and I can put you in touch with our unit leader.

before you buy any gear talk to us. We know what to buy and from whom. It will save you a lot of money and heartache.

the best pants and blouses are from sturm right now, they are a little better then the chinese stuff and the same price. We have a unit member in seattle who is a dealer and can get them for you.

we can also point you to the right smock, helmet, bandolier etc.

as an example all the chinese bandoliers suck, you need to get a good one, some of the other chinese stuff is fine and can save you a lot of money.

I would go into WWII Airsoft games if I could find a decent Soviet Commisar uniform.

Guys here is the FJR6 yahoo group and facebook page. Join up and we'll tell you more about being an FJ. the yahoo group is where we do most our business and talk about where to get gear etc. We also have a lot of reference documents there.

Hi Ragnar

So i'm in the nwha fjr2, and was wondering if your group allowed tan and water jump smocks?

we do specific uniforms for specific scenarios. Our main impression is FJR6 in Normandy which was just fully re-outfitted and went through jump school. FJR6 had a very consistent look at Normandy.

Since many of our guys are young and poor we have standardized on that impression first and try to use it whenever possible and to build off of it for other impressions.

If we do tropical we stay with splinter B (which FJR6 had in the Rome area), if we are doing a bulge or after event we can mix it up. Personally I’d love to use T/W more as I love the smock, but to achieve our goal of looking like a specific unit, it ends up better to look the same.

Even our helmets are all painted with the FJR6 “Normandyâ€
