Need Extra's for a WW II Paratrooper film

Postby billymod » Tue Apr 06, 2010 9:12 pm

if you have the full kit for a WW II Paratrooper, that would be Normandy era with the 42's and brown corcorans let me know. We will be filming the weekend of the 24&25 in the portland washington area. I will get full stats if anyone is interetsed.

This will be a non paid gig, but it is a full length feature based on the true story of the 82nd Pathfinders.

if you are interetsed please send me a pm, and try to include a pic if possible, just so I can check your equipment. Saturday will mostly be just uniforms based on a pre invasion base set up, sunday might be a D-Day +1 setup.

OK, here is the mother hen stuff:
must look the part, and will need to listen to direction.

this is your opportunity to be in a movie.

cheers!

Bill, be sure to post this on Battlesim's website as well. They have a lot of WWII enthusiasts in WA who may be willing to make the drive.

If you can, talk to the guys at Friends of Willie and Joe. They do 82nd reenactments and I'm pretty sure they would be up for this.

I actually live down in California, but will be up there that weekend for the filming. I actually do 101 down here in the California Historical group, and WW II RPS.

ok, I am going to ask a favor. these sites are all foreign to me, so can you guys post up on those. get me some numbers, I will call the director tomorrow and get more stats so I can post something of better info up.

I just know it is at a base with a ton of old buildings, and there are going to be trucks, jeeps, and of course cameras.

the saturday like I said it is pre-battle, but the sunday is D-DAY +1 one so full equipment would be needed.

it would be great to have you guys on board. authenticity is a must though, so clean cut haircuts, and shaved faces a must.

We have VERY FEW and I mean VERY FEW members with authentic/WWII kit. Asking on a more WWII AS oriented board will board much better results.

guys the filming is this coming weekend, just a follow-up anyone interested please contact me or the link above. Like I said for Saturday all you need is the uniform, boots, and a hat. that is an easy fill. if you have a uniforms, but not boots, you can wear any military boot and you will be in backround. The uniform is the 1942 jumpsuit, it can be re-inforced or not.

cheers!
