The team is modelled after a Special Forces ODA or "A team". A-teams are comprised of Special Forces soldiers, which are all senior NCOs or officers and expected to be able to follow as well as lead and provide training to indigenous forces. Though primarily leaders and educators, members should also all be competent in their skillsets of soldiering--shooting, moving and communicating. This group is for more mature players who haven't let old age make them fat and has-beens. As a serious team, the gear and costs are going to be higher than most teams, including strict weapon and gear setups as well as four uniforms to handle different games and missions.
Each member should:
- -Be 21 or older. Exceptions can be made with military experience.
-Be in good physical shape, able to run and gun all day, camp, then run and gun another full day at full speed
-Be willing and able to afford and use our extensive SOP gear and uniform lists
-Be mature and "not a douche" towards other teams, even if you think they are not as good (no elitist guys joining the team because they want to be elite)
-Be able to lead a fire team or squad easily, allowing us to train or lead entire factions as a team at larger airsoft events
-Pass an ASVAB and have a minimum score of 115 on the GT score (joking)
-Afford all gear necessary to play with us in SOP. Probationary team member status until you have all of the required gear
- -Our primary uniforms for tan environments will be Multicam, and for temperate/wooded ares, will be US M81 woodland. Headgear: Soft cover of your choice.
-Our secondary uniforms will be ACUs (UCP) with UCP patrol cap and “embedded operator” (civilians mixed with solid color BDUs with Afghan/Middle Eastern clothing)
- -Primary: Plate Carrier or RRV in solid color
-Secondary: When wearing ACUs, FLC preferred
-At some point we will transition our primary gear to Pencott Badlands Plate carriers, or whatever Family of Patterns (FOP) the Army chooses for their new uniforms
-Your gear should be able to carry a standard load of 7 or more magazines for your primary (midcaps or realcaps), your radio, first aid and water.
- -Must have an American weapon system that an ODA member would use. Examples: M4, M14 EBR, M110 (/SR25), M249, M240 or Mk 46
-Optic must be an ODA used optic. Examples: ACOG, Aimpoint (M68, CCO), Spectre DR or scope for M14/M110 variants, with backup iron sights
-Painted weapon and accessories on it optional
-PEQ/PAQ box on weapon, optic and optional bipod and tactical light (situation/weapon dependent)
-All sensitive items on your weapon platform must be tied down and SOP. Paint pen a roster number on it, sure. Just make it look like a real weapon.
Secondary:
-Pistol with 2 or more spare magazines
- -5w or more powerful HAM radio with HAM license and PTT/Headset
