so i have a gun that does have any rails on the bottom of it but i want to somehow attach a launcher to it. is there a way to get a rail on the bottom of a gun that just has the sling hooks on it? its an echo 1 socom 16.

I really love that M14 but I'm really not down with the 203 on it. Maybe the new 320 would look better.

you could put on something like this: random brand handguard rail

or this: UTG handguard rail

I would get the latter, as it has larger end holes so you can slide it back and forth to compensate for hole placement discrepancies between manufacturers and make it fit just right.

An M203 is probably a little bit much for it, but it is great for vertical grips and flashlight accessories. Give it a shot.
