M203 shell help

Postby Abe » Thu Apr 15, 2010 6:42 am

I recently got two m203 shells (Madbull and ICS) neither of them hold bbs, what I mean by that is when I put the shells upside down or on their sides most, if not all the bbs fall out. :?

I was wondering if I am doing somthing wrong? Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.
Im down, but i'm not out.

What model shell do you have? I use the MB PB4 which will hold any just about any payload. I fill the payload chamber , put a piece of masking tape over the hole and shoot away. That model is supposed to work like that. Any other model, I cannot say.

Sounds like your missing the O ring that goes around the top to hold the BBs in. Replacements can be had for the MB one on GI. I'm guessing the MB ones will work for the ICS as well, but I've never handled one so I can't be sure.

Go to the MB website. They have some schematics that you can peruse and see what you are missing. It gives the dimensions of the rings. You can get O rings at industrial bearing supply houses or I have ordered some of the O rings ( as stated by ninja) from ASGI. It sucks to pay postage for a .25 O ring though ....

Best bet is to go to a lowes or diamond home store and fiddle through their O ring section. Worse case scenario (and cheapest) is pick up some hair tie rubber bands. I've had one of those on my Madbull King grenade for almost a year now and no problems :D
(Now that I've said that, its gonna break...)

Bring it up Abe I'll look at it for you . I know that you just bought them last week . You should not be having this trouble . OR --- You could use a cheeper BB in them . With a cheep BB you will get imperfections and they may fit tighter . But don't use the cheepys in your AEG . 8)

What if it's not the o-ring?

I have a mb shell that loses BBs, despite having the o-ring. It's done it since day one, I always figured it was just how it worked.

Yeah, do that already. Just ask the rig at FW. I whacked them three times.

Allot of times you have to use a loading/unjamming rod to push bbs past the o-ring to get them to stay in. If bbs still fall out, you are just filling the grenade past its intended capacity...
