Nerf Mini Vortex rockets

Discuss airsoft shotguns, launchers, and other related equipment.

I have noticed that at Walmart and Fred Meyer they do carry (for the time being) the nerf mini vortex rockets. I have a few of them and at only like $2.98 a piece I couldn't pass them up. However I have been unable to find the mini howlers for a long time now. Hope this helps.

The nerfs are pretty easy to get online. There is another brand, zocker I think, but they are harder still to get.

I looked at all of the usual suspects, Walgetco etc, and could not find them. Google them and you will find em on e-bay and some place in Hillsbpr/beaverton had a supply

Nerf stopped making them for a while but I think they started making them again a year ago. They are all over these days. Online and in stores. I was able to order about 16 of them before OP Thunder Strike. They also make more expensive versions with NFL logos on them. It's the exact same thing with an NFL team logo.

Haha no way. Dude I just grabbed like 16 last night for an RPG we made... I f*cking cleaned out Freddies and K Mart. I would check there considering that's where I found them. Just not the Corvallis ones...

We're using them for an OP this firday and saturday... I'll be sure hunt them all down afterwords haha.

I've never seen them at any of the WalMarts I go to.
I have found them at Fred Meyers, Toys 'R' Us, and KMart. Heck, I still have a box of about 20 of them.

The mini-howlers were taken off the market several years ago because the whistle piece could come loose and pose a choking hazard.

Oh, and the Pocket Vortex is still on the Nerf site:

Well, you can start a new topic and get flamed for not searching, or you can search and get flamed for necro-posting. It's really your choice...

I could check our Log at work and see if we are still ordering them.

I found a bunch of random nerf vortex whistle from a busted up large howler.

I just need some regular mini vortex's to stick the whistles in.

If you are going to put these into any sort of tube to launch them, You'll need to create a sabot to fill the gaps. The whistlers will create voids where the normal air/gas will escape, instead of forcing the thing out of the barrel. I've been trying to figure out a way to mount them and have it still work. I think it would be awesome to pop one out of a mortar, and have it screaming down on people.

Well, it appears we aren't getting rid of them.
