M203 Replica ammo?

I was just curious what you can shoot effectivly with an m203. (Something besides a shell w/ bb's.......) Would something like a foam ball work in conjuction with a fully gassed shell?

it depends on the size and density of the nerf projectile
some will poop out at like 25 feet and some will soar upwards of 100 yards. softer more porous material is better as long as it forms a seal around the barrel
