Just a minor note, the CheyTac Intervention weighs more than the Barrett M82. And its ammunition is proprietary and heavy.

Also, balls.

If I remember correctly the cheytac carries more kinetic energy at 1000m than does the .50. And if I remember correctly again, the .50 is not so good at sniping and better for simply anti material. I was under the impression your better off with 300 win mag or .338 lapua, but its been a while since I was learning sniper stuff.

On topic, that m82 is cheap enough and sexy enough to be worth a look, would be a very nice functioning prop.

I've heard all it is a VN hicap guts inside a huge housing. I'm sure you can put a mid/lo cap body in there should you desire to.

Asking why they make this is like asking why they make airsoft Pmags. They look cool, but provide no advantages over their counterparts. Sure you could get an M16 and build it into a super leet zomgs snipzorsz gun, or you can buy an M82 and look even cooler ;)

Also Wombat, if you want a bolt action, why not the M99, since the M82 is semi auto RL ;)

That being said, I do wants one. I wished they put a sturdier GB in it than just a V2, but meh, it was probably much easier to just cram a V2 in it and call it good.

Pfft, you people and your facts, clogging up a perfectly good thread. The problem with an M99 replica is that it would have to be single-shot, and, can you even begin to imagine? I'll stick with the M24...

I so want a single shot rifle, but I want it to be a Martini-Henry so I can run around in a pith helmet and talk in an upper-class English accent about "taming the savages".

i was one of the first people to buy a echo 1 M14 ebr. @ 14 pounds, everyone that bought one sold it after 2 or 3 games/skirms, because it was too heavy to lug around. and you want one of these, that is single shot?

yea right. ill see you at one game with it, then it collects dust.

I've never owned a airsoft gun, but I have briefly recently used a friends one whose also a novice. I want to run before I can walk and build your custom MAGPUL (G&P) Pistol Cracker right now, with the right advice and research i'm certain I can pull it off. Please offer some advice

What kind? Wear a condom?

Anyways, I do want that M82 just for looks, but I hope someday someone makes a cheaper CheyTac M200 spring powered one, and not the ARES one. Thing is a freaking anti-everything rifle...

This G&P is no longer on sale, just so you know.

You're better off getting one of these.

GET YELLED AT FOR NECROING.
GET YELLED AT FOR NOT USING THE SEARCH FUNCTION TO USE THREADS FOR REPEATED QUESTIONS.
.....
Who cares if it's old?
Why make new topics that clog shit up more than just posting in a thread that it already applies to?

contradiction is rampant.
