kwa k120 midcap magazine jam

Postby jake_smith1022 » Mon Apr 13, 2015 9:02 pm

Hey guys, heres what's up.

I have 15 kwa k120 magazines for my kwa km4 (2gx). They all jam. I can fire off a few rounds out of each but its only every 1 of 3 BBS come out. Then when I pull the mag out the BBS are stuck about a inch down the magazine. I can tap the top of it and they pop up. They are stuck almost side by side in the magazine. I though at first it may be my bb ramp or some sort of tappet plate, air nozzle, and/or hop-up unit issue. But upon placing a very tight fitting lonex flash magazine. The gun fired flawlessly.

What do I need to do? clean them? Spacers in the magazine? Both? Give my some input please

What brand of BB's are you using?

And is their a reason that you would need to clean them, like were they drug, face first through the mud, or something?

Ive used multiple different BBS. Golden ball .2 .25 .3, bioval .2 .25 .3, Crossman .2 .25, madbull .2 .25, g&g .2 .25 .28. And no I didn't drag them through mud. I've did a experiment with them last night. Cleaned (check for burrs and checked for nicks in the track) them then added spacers and they still jammed. I did some research as well and found Hunterseeker makes this

Should I invest?

I'm not sure, I've never had any problems with my 120's.

Are they new? Cuz I've seen that as a problem.

Anybody out there run these a lot?

Have you tried shimming your mag well?

Put the mag in, take your finger and push forward, towards the muzzle, on the bottom rear of the magazine. If your gun starts shooting good, then that's it.

A lil duct tape in the rear ridge of the mag well is all it takes.

Have you tried lubing your mags? Sounds like a problem I've had with new magazines. Drop a drop or two down the feed chute and then load like normal and it sounds like it should fix the problem.

Silicone oil only.

Also, I carry one of those skinny, totally round, bamboo chopsticks in my rig for unjamming mags.

Was carrying a unjamming rod that came with my airsoft gun, until the angled tip came off inside of a magazine one day, and I said no more of this!

That was fun trying to get out. Not.

Ok, I'll try the lube and hope for the best. I'll let you all know if that solves the issue. Thank you for your input

I've had some luck taking the k120 mag apart and streching the spring out a little , it's worked for me when some started to not feed good.
