East Coast MILSIM'er

Postby EagleDriver » Fri Jan 06, 2012 6:00 pm

Hello from Baltimore. I have a long history (or sickness?) of collecting airsoft--starting with my first Daisy MP5K. Since then I have amassed a nice sized collection, with a lot of pistols and older classics. I collect gear and camo too - can't have a new camo without matching gear!

A few years ago an Army buddy of mine got me into skirmishing and then into MILSIM. I have been to everything from small local skirmishes to Lion Claws events to Berget. I actually work quite a bit in Seattle, Bothell, and Wenatchee but haven't really checked out the airsoft scene out that way (most of that work is nights and weekends so it cuts into play time.)

This year the big games I plan on going to Pine Plains in New York, Irene in Kentucky, and Berget in Sweden. Other that that we have a few local fields out here (some paintball fields that host airsoft and some private airsoft-only fields.)

We have too many people from the world and states on AP.

Most of the airsoft in the PacNW goes on in Oregon, though.

Welcome to AP.

I plan on hitting up Berget probably next year, and I am actually a south Eastern guy, but the only truely organized regional groups seem to be AP, California, some NE and that is it US wise. Hope you draw as much good as I have so far from here. Lots less childish stuff on here which is great.

Thanks - I have relatives in Mapleton but they aren't into airsoft. :(

Holy shit, you must have a lot of money to burn to hit up all those events in the same year. I can barely get my teammates to go to Okla-fuckin-homa.

Welcome to AP and as Matt said.... Okla-Fuckin-Homa! That is where I am from...

If you are a serious hardcore Milsim traveler or have that in a team, I invite you to check out the best game in the world, The Oklahoma Invasion Milsim Series.

Best game = Airsoft Players Choice Awards #1 Game (Beating out Berget) in 2010 and now nominated again for 2011...

...we are serious milsim.

Again welcome, this is one of the best communities in the US!
