Are you talking about these noobs:

EXCELLENT GAME

Postby Vulcan » Mon Apr 30, 2007 5:17 am

Kevin and the rest of the team that put this game on, Outstanding time on the field. Thanks for putting these on. Love the field. Had a great time playing with a wide mix of personalities and skills.

BTW;
Your games start closer to on time than the big "paying" games
Your games end closer to on time than the big "paying" games
Lots more trigger/mission time in your games
Finally, MUCH less pissing and moaning after your games about hackers or some other thing that didn't go the way a player wanted.

Thanks again for putting these on.
Life is Good!
Have a great day.

Good game guys. I had fun running with Mobius and Capt DOA. Unfortunately I had to leave early because I took a tactical fall into a thicket of stinging nettles. :( Yay for Benadryl allergy medicine.

Noob's are good to see at any game, that means the sport is growing. This is also a good time for everyone to see screen names in action on the field. The experienced players & teams in the game should be leaders or examples of good game play. There were a lot of good examples of this all over the field Sunday.

That was a fun game! Been a long time since I've seen the cars stretch past the hill, it was good to have targets. I saw a lot of people working in teams at this game, it's always good to see people stepping up and dropping egos to work together.

I would also like to thank John for his contributions to our team. His leadership on the field was (as always) him putting the event first and without his lead on our team I know things would have been much more disorganized. It's not just about being prepared for the next mission, it's about working with people to develop a team and teaching how to band together.

My favorite part was when he was organizing us for VIP escort and yelled out "I want 5 racks lined up right here" to which I had to ask "Is that a joke?" and he finally got it. :)

I'm pleased to report that my approach to anti-camo was successful in avoiding me getting team killed. Everybody remebers the big purple dinosaur when it runs around the field. (Sorry I don't know any Barney songs).

Also I think I lost a .030 AEP. Probably left on the ground by the village spawn near the end of the day. Dead/low battery. Anybody find it?

I just wanted to take a sec and say thank you to everyone for allowing newbs like me to come out and play. I had a blast and I can hardly wait to see more pics!

I look foward to getting more involved (reads buys his own equipment!) and playing more often!

Thanks for posting that link to pics, damn I'm an ugly mofo! Anyway, I'm sure Kevin will be putting his pictures on the AP media gallery within a day or so.

The game was fun, thanks for coming out everybody! I enjoyed hosing all day with the new M249. I also learned that the Pacific Northwest wilderness is hard on chinese-made bipods. The anti-camo theme was a great idea, I think we should try a few more games along those lines in the future... Gives us all a chance to try different loadouts.

Chapped - it's nice to see somebody else grabbing video coverage for a change, maybe this means for once I'll actually be IN one. Let me know if you want me to link it up on the videos section, if you upload to youtube or google video I can easily embed it there.
