All this chest puffing is clouding the issue.
Safety is of paramount concern.
Morgan, enforcing safety with threats of physical violence is ridiculous. Threats will win you zero respect.

Safety is everyones responsibility but first and foremost, it is the game hosts responsibility.
Love ya guys but OP: Mad Dog safety enforcement=FAIL

You had no proof of chrono system in place. Previously you used colored zip ties, (not foolproof but it provided a quick visual indicator that a weapon had been checked.)

Case and pont: I was never chrono'd. I was however, shooting within designated safety limits. I know this because I chrono'd the night before by myself. Since you weren't marking weapons I saw ZERO reason to get chrono'd on game day.

I recommend you return to somehow 'marking' chrono'd weapons and have a field marshal check every weapon as they enter the field. It may cost us another 30 minutes but personally, I wouldn't trade an eye for anything. 30 minutes of game time lost is a very fair trade.

All that BS aside.
I had a great time. Game four in the village was F'ng crazy wild. Got the shit shot outa me that round. I was covered in band-aids when it was over.
Pretty fair sportsmanship. I shot a few zombies, (but that is expected in large games like this.)
I only witnessed one case of "Tough Guy" on the field, which was diffused easily enough.

For those of you who allow themselves to get hot enough under the collar that you start posturing and making threats let me remind you of something:
YOU ARE A GROWN MAN WHO DRESSES UP AND PLAYS WAR WITH BB GUNS!!!
GET OVER YOURSELF!

Saturday nights campfire was good times. I'll weed through the footage and make sure Matt gets some good 'outakes' for the OP video. Prepare to bask in all your drunken glory lads.
Boy that hot dog looked tasty.

That is all.

That is why I'm glad the HPA system is adjustable.

I turn it down when closing in...and miss a couple shots to adjust hop-up...and turn it back up to 550 when back in the open field.

Safety first. ;]

I wasn't aware of this. That's rediculous. It won't happen again, at least not at an event that's allowed to carry the AP name.

thats a pretty bold accusation, you might think about re-wording your statement there.

either they were lost or someone forgot them or something. it wasn't planned, thats for sure. the only reason there were no zipties for chrono is that nobody had any to put on guns. its a problem that was recognized and will not happen again.

WOnderer, with your early chrono'ing and super safe demeanor you should have contacted Zues about it. It would have been rectified.

Next time I'll bring it up at the crono or to Niall and let him speak to the game admin directly.

I figured it a minor oversight that the game admins would already be aware of and were addressing. AP has put on games for years and shouldn't need us telling you what to do. Offering feedback after the fact is one thing, but I've been given the impression that AP is not interested in critisism of their methods or saftey procedures on the spot.

I place my trust in the admins to be thorough and on top of basic saftey issues. I would expect that our player admins would have crono'ed as well as Zues's teammates thus you wouldn't need every joe bugging/harassing Zeus about things.

My appologies, i was only intending to share my observation at the crono and during play of which i saw neither.

yah

Postby wingNut » Mon Oct 08, 2007 12:30 pm

Yah thanks for the game zues and everyone else that had a hand in putting it together i had a blast. As for marking chrono'd guns spokane airsoft uses the colored dot stickers that people use at garage sales too mark prices and designate a color for a given fps range. I dunno just a thought.

We live and learn and no one got hurt (in regards to the glasses). It was great fun and I'm glad AP put it on and look forward to the next.

I didn't participate in the administration of this event, but a player issue is a player issue.

Bring it up, that isn't a personality deal, it is a safety deal.

i was chronoed by nick aka "nocte" he chronoed both my replicas. pistol was not chronoed.

my aeg was shooting at 346-346-346....my gear box was built by the artist formerly known as seagreen. the most consistant replica i have ever owned. thanks bill.

the AGM L96 clone i won at the scout/sniper comp chronoed at 486 with a .20 ( i didnt use it all day, i just brought it as a back up, and to chrono it for shits and giggles.

more pistols need to be chronoed at all events. i have brought this up with NWAL, and i have brought it up here. i am doing so again.

KA-BAR out

also the day would not have been if it were not for john warther of 5RAC. he was able to come thruogh like a true champion. not only did he have a replacement stock for my M14, he gave me a option for heatshield, so i was able to get the scout ris on the match platform. out freeking standing john. i am forever endebted to ya. major props to Mr. Warther.
I am not half as good as I want to be, but I am twice as good as you think I am.
