There is always next time. I have adjusted the list and it reflects the addition of Wiley's guys.

So is any of the things listed required or highly recommended? I have a member who wants to go but lacks some of the items such as a helmet, pads, and some other items.

Helmet is required, pads are not necessarily required, but very recommended.

See above posts for same questions and same answers, I think.

The requirements are guidelines for this event.

In the MOUT and LE specific courses that will be detailed and provided in the future, they will be required.

This is an overview of the big picture with a lot of information in a short time. Think of this as a bite from each entree of a big dinner. You will get practical and classroom just not as much as an LE or MOUT specific block program.

This course is designed for advanced and beginners alike. We are trying to increase the knowledge base of the community as a whole through these courses.

Obviously, Helmets and eye-pro(tight fitting) are a safety issue that has no variation. I strongly advise everyone has knee pads. Weapons are required with an fps under 330 with .20.

You will gain the most from the training if you have all of your battle gear, as if you were going on a mission. I have seen many people who quickly find they need to change their goggles after they fog up to the point they can't see. Being a soldier I can tell you the huge differance it makes when you have to get used to not having the ability to place the butt of the weapon in the pocket of your shoulder.

The above is 100% accurate.

Helmet and eyepro is 100% mandatory.

Also, there will be a couple extra helmets available at the event provided by BSP first come, first serve. If you want to use one, contact me directly.

Three Months I ago wrote:This is not an event announcement! This is a checklist! Read it!

* Long-arm, with at least 2 standard cap magazines
- I suggest
1) A carbine or sub-gun platform (MP5, M4, ect).
2) A sling
3) A Tactical Illumination Device

* Sidearm, with at least 2 standard cap magazines
- I suggest
1) A holster that will securely hold the replica.
(Ask some of the teams what happened when they dropped a replica, or had one lifted on them.)

* Dump Pouch
* Helmet
* Elbow and Knee pads
* Hydration
* Eye Protection

THIS LIST IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS THE EVENT DATE APPROACHES. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THESE ITEMS. THIS IS AMPLE TIME TO START SQUARING YOUR KIT AWAY. YOU WILL BE AT A DISADVANTAGE FROM YOUR CLASSMATES OTHERWISE.

Some people are missing kit items. Missing items will make class difficult.

If anyone wants a ride from the West Portland Metro Area (I.E, almost anywhere west of Sunset), PM me.

I don't want to drive my van all the way up with just me. Alternately, if you have room for a guy and a gearbag, let me know.

But, my ride is fast, comfy, and nice.

Yeah, I'm definitely missing a sidearm. I've got everything else squared away, but I haven't got the money to buy my P226... ): !!

Anyone got a loaner thigh holster and GBB? I've got pouches for pistol mags, I just need a thigh rig and pistol for one day only. Anyone?

Well, uh... Yes, that will happen.
