Faster, faster!

Glad you're still going on this. I've resurrected my IAR project, too.

Hoping to steal a few of your ideas, lol!

Is an ex acceptable? She can definitely fill the role.

But seriously, Morgan, finish this thing for great justice.

I'm sorry, Wade, but I'd love to see a line-issue M60 do that - not a tuned weapon as a publicity stunt. Our M60s were lucky to get through a couple thousand rounds before a part broke. This week we shot 26,000 rounds through two M240Bs without a single malfunction. With a T&E, we were getting multiple hits from one burst on a 12"x12" steel plate at 400 meters.

Its not a "tuned publicity stunt" M60. Its the new M60E4 or Mk43 MOD1.

You can watch this video and read in the description about the weapon:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AzsPqUK ... re=related

The M60E4/Mk43 MOD 1 Commando machine gun is a highly modified and improved version the original Vietnam-era M60 machine gun, and it was developed to address and solve the original M60's reliability, handling, size and weight problems.

Albeit for me to argue with Spokane Airsoft's LMG guy.........but the M60 may be worth taking a second look. ;)

The M240B is a fine weapon.........when mounted on a Humvee. :D

And I think the SEAL's are using this version. (correct me if Iam wrong)

They were going to use the M60E4, but it started having reliability issues - they are now using the 7.62 Mk48, which is an upscaled Mk46, which is a lightweight and railed version of the M249. The Mk48 is an outstanding weapon for patrol use. You're right - the M240B is not a great weapon for foot patrols. It's to be fired from a vehicle, T&E, or bipod - not the shoulder or hip (although it can be done). I think Colt got frustrated with FN getting all the MG contracts, and tried to revive a dying breed.
