Ollie.....not sure what you mean.....For what it is worth we intentionally kept it under wraps as long as possible for the suprise factor. If it caught you off guard, then we accomplished our objective.
no, you misunderstand
it looks terrible and destroyed any realism that the boy had the moment he saw it. its nice that you built a APC chassis around your 4x4, i just think its a good first attempt, not something that should make repeat visits. you do your thing, what ever rock your boat, but its just one more thing that makes me NOT want to attend
Did I miss something? Is Ollie running this game? Is this somehow his call? How bout you let C-TAC answer that one.
I got on here this afternoon and saw all this. I'm kind of amused at it all. I see both sides of the story and these are my personal thoughts on this.
1. The Mil-Sim side of it: Yes to us Westerners it does look a little out of place but so did the Nissan/Toyota pickups with big a$$ machine guns but now that's just the way the world is. Now to them that is what they have and if its going to work for them and they use it then its Mil-Sim now.
2. The none Mil-Sim side of it: Its a quad with plywood and what ever else. i have not personally seen this one in person but I can say this from experience from a game held earlier this year at SniperzDen that had 4 or 5 of them and an old International Scout with dual guns in a turret and a drop ramp in the back and could hold 8+ Or how about the C-130 at Gallant Saber III a Box truck... This is a sport that is not cheap to bring the big toys out to and I know that if it was everyone would be doing it. But as we live in the Great North West not a whole lot of people have access to a M113 or any other type of APC so I'm very inclined to and have offered on all my events to allow this type of vehicle/APC. If this kills your idea of Mil-Sim then buy you a ticket fly out to Op Lion Claws and the other one who I have been working with to bring the North West that level of event. By all means if I had 21 million dollars I would buy land and build a facility that is right up all of our alleys and sit back and watch the plastic death happen all day everyday. But since I do not C-TAC will continue to build relationships with anyone and everyone who is a Mil-Sim enthusiast and will build up the Coffee Angels and my Other Event Lines up to be able to get the bigger and better toys that we all want to play with, until that day or until someone else can do it better. Deal with it...
