G&G and Real Sword.

There are plenty of well functioning AKs (in fact, it's hard to find a non-reliable AK). When you say "best," I'm including show-quality aesthetics and building materials. I assume you want a real wood stock (and yes, the Echo1 was not included for a reason) and pretty external build as well as a solid gearbox and inner workings.

G&G has more options to choose from, and they're one of my favorite brands (unless I'm buying an M4/M16) of manufacturers.

I have a CYMA 048S AKMS, wood and steel, very little Zinc metal. It is a VFC copy, the weak point is the pistol grip (many many clones has the same problem), it is made of cheap filmsy plastic & makes the gun very inbalance & front heavy, so probably have to replace that part with a LCT grip.
The shimming is kind of tight on that Cyma's AK, but the wiring does look very clean. The stock Hicap mag is not so good, it is a little small & narrow for the gun, if snapping it in, it will jam & caught half way in the magwell.
For an $125ish AK, Cyma is not so bad.
If really diehard & crazy collecting the AKs, LCT will be a good choice!
G&P= Butt load/only M16 & M4.
LCT= AKs only.

I own a RS type 56 (AK47), very pleased with the performance, durability and realism. When I lay it alongside my real AK its hard to tell the difference (except for tip). The mags are incredible w/ no problems so far. I researched before I bought it and have not been disappointed .

Yeah! Uncompany don't ship the gun thru US customs, not like redwolf or wgc have to have the stuff stop by san fransico customs.

Happen to know what mag brands are compatible with the CM045A? Wont misfeed or jam and keep it reliable?

MAG midcaps work, STAR mags will work, any TM compatible mags will work... sometimes you'll get a few that don't want to work when you get them but most mags should work fine.

The stock battery that came with it does not want to charge on my smart charger, my other batteries work fine. It looks like a clone of an intellect battery. I installed Deans on it, soldering job is fine... what could be the deal?

I would never use that stock battery.
I suggest to buy a decent one.

I always end up selling my stock batteries to the "noobs" around my neighborhood and use the money to buy better batteries, like Lipos. :D

I wanted to test my gun out fully loaded and that's all I had at the time. I ordered a 1500 stick with deans right away from CheapBatteryPacks as usual. The stock battery is a clone of intellect batteries. This battery can ride the a$$ of a midget for all I care, i broke it in half.
