They're the same, and they stopped making shitty products and trying to sue other companies into the ground. They probably found it was easier to get people to buy your products if you actually produced quality products, instead of trying to judicially monopolize the market.

Since I never owned a budget brand before I wanted to know what good upgrades you guys have done to you CYMA VFC clones? Did you guys keep the hopup chamber and bucking?

Just a general question, I think the spring is fine I may lower it later but in general most systema and guarder parts don't have any fitment issues due to poor molding right?

I tend to do all upgrades myself, occasionally I'll find parts that don't quite fit and require some modding. Modding I much rather not do since I tend to keep airsoft simple nowadays.

I like short AK mags, what short AK mags are relaible feeders in CYMA VFC clon AKs?

If I remember correctly, they were products of the same manufacturing facility - created under the name 'Cybergun'. After developing a bad rap, they updated their processes and tolerances, and renamed themselves CYMA.
I am not 100% certain of this however, it's what I have understood over a span of time.

CYMA is not Cybergun.

Cybergun gets guns from China and sells them in the US under "Cybergun" brand. Infact, Cybergun isn't Chinese. They are based in France.

I have a completely stock Echo-1 AK74U. Essentially a CYMA gun. It's completely stock. It's probably getting close to needing a new spring, but internally, there isn't much of a need to change anything. The only internal that isn't stock is the battery.

What you need to watch out for are the various pins holding the gun together. I have had to replace them on mine. It can be sort of a pain in the a$$ shouldering your gun and finding that you don't have a front end on your gun anymore. :D

The ones that don't have to move can be superglued or loc-tite'd. The ones which do (ie roll pin on the receiver cover) can either be flared or as I did, replaced with a threaded bolt and locking nuts.

Don't be surprised when you see the Cybergun logo on your ICS gun either.

I know the cyma AKs already come with the metal hop up chamber, but I will replace mine with the plastic one later..
I bought the cheap Element stage3 FTK for my 048S, the plastic bushings will be replace later (7mm I believe). It is nice to have the motor replace as well, so does the inner barrel..etc.
I would just buy a 5pak King arms AK mags ( I do go everything plastic in these days due to my health problem), for the metal ones, G&P are not bad.
I don't know if they have short AK mags or not..SVD mags..?

Sleepy, is that to say that CYMA does no longer deserve to be one my "buy only if you want a project" list?

Been there done that, and mine was a Marui. I think it was in a 1 v 1 with Seagreen. I'd like to think of it as an attempted projectile melee kill.

CYMA's new guns are really, really nice. Their AKM has insane performance.
