ARES/STAR g36 series?

Postby TMiller » Fri Jan 01, 2010 2:27 pm

Holy shit, these are hard to find in stock.
Almost everywhere I look, its sold out. Gunner had the g36k in stock for $140 and the G36 red-dot for $170, but they're almost 100% out.

Anyone know why ARES g36s are so difficult to find lately, or where I can pick one up for around or under two hundred bucks

The one on ASGI looks like the trademarks have been butchered. Shame.

I really hope to find someone selling one of these or find a retailer.

Star is dead. And ares is sortuv like their successor. (knowledge is power, lol)

Yea, you can't find star g36s anywhere (the GI store says Ares/Star, but it’s really just Ares.) And from what I've been able to gather (as already stated by Seahawk) Ares has stopped producing them. GIs price is a little high for what you get (CAs are arguably better and cost slightly less). But I do remember seeing them somewhere recently for a decent price. I’ll let you know if I can find where.

It kinda looks like they put something over them (to hide them?). You could probably ask GI...

I don't think they are discontinued, but the Ares G36's are supposed to have very high quality bodies, but I heard that on ASF and rumors there are horrible.

my understanding of it is ARES made the guns for STAR, and now make them for themselves. the quality on their products has skyrocketed since STAR dissapeared. all ive heard specifically about the ARES/STAR G36 guns is that they are supposed to be quite nice.

I contacted Ares and I got a very detailed message back within an hour (very nice customer service!)

I got details about their availability, battery space, yadda yadda. But she also told me in the email that they have completely discontinued their g36 line becuase they're coming out with a blowback version soon.

If you can find an Ares/Star G36 definitely buy them!
