Sig 552

Postby Unicorn » Sun Feb 14, 2010 11:46 pm

Today I used what I believe was a jg sig 552 without any upgrades. I fell in love with it because it did what I wanted it to. It had more range than I thought it would. Also I used a 9.6 in it and only used semi. I got a kill from about 30 yards though the brush. I would take my friend's loaner gun but the body is cracked and its missing the front hand guard.

OK all I can find are 3 companies that make a sig 552

Jg: $150, plastic

Ics: Metal, $320

Tm: $275

I am calling all the fan boys to duke it out. With out any upgrades which do you think is the best gun?

My buddy has had his TM Sig for a couple years, and it's never EVER given him any problems other than the front gas tube thingy getting a little loose.
No experience with other brands, but as far as stock accuracy goes I would bet on the TM.

The JG 552 performs pretty well, but it feels all wrong since its rather light and plasticy...

The TM is just a better performing (besides fps) JG that still feels plasticy. If you can’t save up for an ICS just go for the JG, since the TM is still plastic…

I’d go with an ICS, since its metal- and performs very well in it’s stock form. An 552 metal body runs for about $200, so the ICS is definitely worth the money.

Well it would be a hell of a lot less money to take it and just replace the parts. I mean it would only be like $100 at most.

If you're a-ok with a plastic body the JG 552 is the 552 for you. ;)

well metal bodies add realism but weight. Plastic ones are light but not a durable. As of right now I don't know if I can hold the metal bodied sig because of a collar bone fracture a few months ago and multiple shoulder dislocations this year. My right arm is really weak now.. :( Plus I can still get the metal one later.

Ouch. :o

And the JG bodies aren't terrible; if you get an optic mount, however, just make sure to not over tighten it- that’s the one easy way to crack the body.

Go with the ICS. Sig actually helped them build it, which will hopefully add to its levels of win.

That's really cool. I had the chance to look at(read: fondle) a Sig 556, not sure which make, but it was quite nice. It could have been Cybergun....

Yeah it was. It was one of these:

But it did feel quite nice. Very neat looking replica.

let me know how it handles should you get it! Might be a potential choice for those interested in Sigs.
