Prometheus Gears

I am buying a set of prometheus gears for my upgraded CA M4. However, I have run into a problem. I cannot seem to find enough information on the right gear set for my gun. every website is incredibly vague as to which setup each different set is designed for and with so many different "torque up" and "double/triple torque" sets I am unsure as to which is right for my M4.

What i want to accomplish with this gun is an incredibly durable gearset that will last me a very long time. I stripped out the old stock ones recently. The rifle is running a M110 spring and is shooting 370-380 fps. I don't want a gearset that will be too heavy, but I want one that won't break a sweat over a decent rof and that high of a fps. ROF is not important however, durability is more important. I'm not a fan of a ton of bb's downrange anyway. accuracy is more key.

So which prometheus gearset is "right" for what I want and why?

All gears are the same. Torque up and high speed refer to what the gear ratio changes to to add torque to pull a harder spring, or speed.

You don't need promy gears, nobody would spend that much on gears anyways. A cheaper brand such as Modify, Hurricane or Element will be sufficient enough

To answer the actual question, here's the breakdown

Prometheus Torque Gears are the same as other companies Original Ratio or Genuine gears.

Prometheus Double Torque are like CA, Modify, or Systema Torque Up

Promy Triple Torque are like Systema Super-Torque up

Promy Infinite is like Guarder and Systema Infinite torque.

Thank you. i was looking for the higher durability of a torque up setup so that they would last a long time and not strip out. i dont care about the price because i work for my money so i can buy high quality parts. if i replace something i want it to be fixed for a long long time.

More torque gives a lower ROF, just so you know. And I'm pretty sure at a point, the gears will be helical and you'll need a new piston (half teeth).

It's not helical or not that gives you the need for a half tooth piston. It's the gear ratio. Some torque up gears have the ring of teeth that are taller than the main body of the sector gear, thus incurring the need for a half tooth piston that won't be destroyed by this ring of teeth. This happens on both helical and standard gear sets.

Then what standard gear sets need half tooth pistons? And what helical half tooth gears are okay with standard pistons?

Just look at the gears. If the sector gear has a large ring of teeth all the way around, you need a half-tooth piston.
