I know for myself i enjoyed the little short video. but you might want to remove the 20th century Fox start and the mpaa screen.

Way to make a neat thread a$$ retarded. I'm sure they took the batteries out of the guns and have enough common sense to do it right. Treat every weapon as if it's loaded unless it's scientifically impossible for it to launch a projectile. Common sense over fear. Responsibility over alarmism.

Thats like pointing a real steel weapon at someone ...because you know its not loaded.

No. No it isn't. It's like LiquidSnak's example. There has to be a way to make real guns safe enough to be props so they can be used to make movies. The same can be done with airsoft guns. Airsoft guns were also used in the National Geographic special that APST helped film a number of years back, combined with rubber dummy guns and blank-firing replicas. Removing the battery or another essential piece of operating equipment turns the replica into an effective prop for cool internet shorts. Airsoft guns are GREAT props.

100% safe? Nope.
Is backflipping off of that wall more dangerous? Yep, he could break his neck, but dammit. It looks so damn cool that 90% of people will go "Man, that was neat. That kid can do stunts."

Sorry to sidetrack this entralling thread here, but I am curious about this National Geographic special. Any links to it, or info on where I can see this?

I, for one, thought the video trailer was quite cute. If you intend on having some sort of actors in the event, one with 2 pistols of course, you should totally have some people on his side, and others on the opposing side. Back to topic, y'all.

My point is this...it was filmed at a place used for airsoft.
Tacoma Tactical allowed it. I'm a Certified Simunitions Instructor and Safety.
Everyone here saw the DEA agent that shot himself during a gun safety class? Accidents happen.
First day of the Simunitions class we watched a video on a Boston SWAT officer who accidentally shot his buddy with a non converted .45 in the face. Being used in an area people use for Airsoft, regaurdless of the people involved using disabled replicas...they should have made them wear eye pro. Hell every Army range I have gone to its always Eye Pro. Even when using blanks, or doing MOUT train up, we make the kids wear full kit. train as you fight.

Thats a picture of me Shooting each soldier in the back of the leg so they understand Sim Rounds hurt, and if you remove your protection, they can do damage. And that weapon is converted to fire a paint round...It will not allow a real 9mm round to be chambered....same with the M16's when we convert them they will not chamber a real round...see me shooting them in the back...even for a fam fire SAFETY is key and they are kitted up wearing face protection

Thank you for your information. As of this post we have notified Hollywood that they will be required to use eye protection in all their movie productions that use firearm replicas.

Actually that wsn't my point...my point was Tacoma Tactical allowed it to be filmed inside the arena...The should have made it policy that if you step out of the green zone, you must wear eye pro...even for the filming of silly little skit..
My issue is not with the movie...its with the fact shit can happen, they should've forced everyone involved to wear eye protection.
I'd Rather be safe then lose an eye. I wasn't there, So I don't know what kinda shake down, and clearing went on...but no matter who you are, or where you are shit can happen.....

I see the point you are making. But see, an AEG without an Battery and an empty magazine cannot in no way possible fire a bb. Same with a GBB without Gas or BB's.

Obviously what this thread needs is classic vid-caps from great action movies with paintball masks photoshopped in.

And I? understand that, but being on the playing floor...Tacoma Tactical should have a policy about eye pro outside of the safe zone...seriously with all the money people spend on airsoft weapons and Kits...is it really going to break your bank if you go out and buy a set of Oakley shooting glasses or even the cheap amber lensed ones you can get from bullseye? All it takes is for one person to get hit, and Tactac gets in trouble. I'm sure the insurance they have won't cover after hours shenanigans
