They use tan krylon paint. There's not some magical tactical paint that makes your helmet more awesome, it's just flat-finish Krylon.

But serious, I think it's Krylon "Camouflage" Sand color. I painted by 2002 with that, and it looks pretty close to what you see in pictures. Darker than khaki, lighter than CB.

Seconded. I used the Krylon Sand Color (camouflage one) and it turned out extremely close to what it actually is. But then again I'm sure flat krylon tan color would work

If you see pics of Special Forces soldiers in South America, they are wearing Woodland BDU's RAID modified, with OD painted helmets.

Oh, man...I thought this was a thread to meet SF guys. You know, a "hemet."

Don't get it? Read the thread title again. Slowly.

Both would be wrong, but if you're too lazy to order the correct color, we're too lazy to care.

just paint it tan. it doesn't matter. paint it neon green if you want. i painted mine tan with a light misting of black over the top to dull and darken it a bit.

lol the guys Im working with now just use good ole regular Krylon paint, nothing special. That or just anything you find. Theres no mystery paint. Also the Phillipino SF guys have some sweet uniforms btw...hawtness.

To look SF esque just grown your beard, wear some coolguy oakley's and have longish hair. That and act like a normal joe off the block who really can kick your a$$ in a moments notice. Thats SF

Actually those are the Rangers that are the cocky assholes, SF guys I work with are pretty quiet guys that you really wouldnt pick out of a crowd if they were in civilian clothes...
