What is a JLS Hurricane Battle rifle?

Postby malik » Sat May 01, 2010 9:21 am

I saw this while shopping and it looks kinda cool... Costs $110, but what is it? Is it any good? What are the specs?
We want 'em to know if they're gonna leave a bomb on the side of the road, first, we're just gonna blow up their little f**kin road.

its a replica of the Beretta Rx4 Storm. don't know about the quality, but for $110 i wouldn't expect a ton. ive only seen one firsthand once. if i remember right, it has its own proprietary gearbox, but it takes most normal internal parts.

I haven't owned one, but I know one of the members on TF91 has owned one for several years and it shoots decently hard. If seen it used and from the one I saw it shot relatively far and took M4 mags. Again, I don't own it and I don't know if he has done anything to upgrade it, though.

Interesting... It's used so don't go off the price. I'd really like to get someone who owns it to reply... lol

It doesn't use it's own type of gearbox, it uses the CA/G&G M14 type gearbox. They aren't very nice... (the gearbox design is, but not the gun itself).

Nasty, if you aren't careful, he'll find a way to claim you're trolling against RedDragon. Everybody just wants to bring THAT drama llama back to life...

As for the rifle, from what I've read (I was looking at buying one) the internals are par with CYMA, but if you fix it up right, you will have an extremely unique rifle.

It is common knowledge.

What's a 'good' price?

Info is mostly correct so far...it's a replica of a Beretta civilian home defence gun never offered in full auto or used by any miliary.

The JLS takes normal m4 mags and small 9.6 batteries. I bought one mainly for the looks (and of course price)...and regretted it. Internals are very very proprietary, as in even a normal air nozzle replacement is undoable. It shot 400fps out of the box with an m100 spring and worked for exactly one game.

Save your money for something quality would be my advice.

I've owned one, pulled it apart and never bothered putting it back together. For the two games i actually tried it out at, it worked pretty well for a budget AEG.

One problem: Not many mags will work with it without modification.

I have one. I have had it going on a year plus. This last game was its 20th game.
Pros:
Comfortable
Large battery space
Accurate(amazingly so)
Fast

Cons:
Does skip shots at times
Seems to eat up my batteries fast. No matter which battery I use it takes at least 1 if not 2 replacements through a game
Works with all of my M4 mags(but didn't with a Dboy of my brother's)
Heavier than I would like and most of it in the front.

I have one, and its really nice, the stock is very solid and doesnt wobble and u can easily put on a peq box on it cuz it has 4 rails. It is very very accurate, the only thing is if your used to an m4 reloading will take some time because the release button is really far forward. Ummm other then that its a great gun and looks pretty cool too.

oh yah its also very very solid, and really easy to take apart.
