Cleaning airsoft with real steel barrel cleaner

Postby malik » Sun May 02, 2010 3:37 pm

So, I don't have any barrel cleaners or anything, so I am planning on using my dad's .22lr barrel cleaner to do it for me. Planning on rubbing some grease or oil on the cloth and cleaning the barrel like a real steel... Any reason I should not do this?
We want 'em to know if they're gonna leave a bomb on the side of the road, first, we're just gonna blow up their little f**kin road.

8. Periodically swab your barrel and lube moving parts. Be warned that some lubes, even those used on your real firearms, can damage AEG internals. You need to use 100% pure silicon spray when swabbing your inner barrel.......

Where do I get silicone spray and what does it cost on average?

Auto parts stores will also have about 5 different varieties.

EDIT: Spray cans will cost anywhere between $3 and $8 depending on kind and brand.

some of the guys on the sunday crew can tell you where you can get some in coos bay. talk to them the next time they go out.

the only place I got mine was at the painball shop but thats been cosed now for a long time......

if your just gonna clean the inner barral a prep pad works fine.
