In this image, on the CIRAS, what is the second pouch from the left? Also, what is the second pouch from the right? And is that a MOLLE holster in the chest?

Not sure what the second pouch on the left is. The second pouch from the right is actually two grenade pouches, and yes that a molle holster on the chest.

Pouch on the left looks like a signal pouch (same as on chest of RRV), but with a horizontal adaptor.

FWIW, that picture isnt of RLCS kit either - the grenade pouches, MAP, RRV, and MBITR are the "civi" kind.

Also, are Ranger required to stick to a certain arrangement of pouches based on MOS, and if so, could I have that specific SOP? I can't find one [SOP] on most forums I'm on.

From the first page
Yep thats the kit we use right now. The only thing he has wrong is its SOP to have the bleeder kit on the left side...he has it on the right. The rest of the pouches are up to you. Oh and he's missing the soft body armor. The guy pictured kneeling above has it on. The Rhodesian vest is usually just used for training. The plate carrier with the cumberbund is what we carry in combat.

4th down is an interesting photo...he has the PRR mounted on his back - how the hell can he use it then? The remote PRRs for them are very rare, and not included in the US PRR kits..

What color is this guy's helmet painted?

It doesn't look like OD to me.

Ranger SOP has changed since the "Rustoleum 1917" or whatever it was. It is a mix of gray/green and black from what I remember - a lot of them have been done with a fishnet as well.

First page. I couldn't find the below mentioned paint, so I just got some Krylon Tan Camo paint and went crazy.

Catch22 wrote:
SOP on the MICH helmet is its painted Rustoleum 1917 khaki with bunny ears velcroed on the back, and two strips of 3x2 black velcro on the top and rear for IR tags. Alot of us have the new diamond shaped NODs mounts now too. You want a piece of 550 cord going through the top as a tie-down. The uniform is ACUs with just a subdued IR flag and no other unit identification. We used to be able to wear Merrills and such, but thats changing very soon. Now its any desert tan boot 8" tall. Basically we got legified. Oh and you want one of those Rigger belts too with like a safety lanyard to hook up into the floor of C17s or blackhawks. Only Oakley A-Frames or M-Frames are allowed.

In either case, I've seen several Rangers (current) that have khaki/tan paint on their helmets.
