Modern US Ranger SOF Loadout.

All operational photos that have been published recently include a darker helmet scheme. The lighter rustoleum color contrasts with the rest of the kit...aka a bad thing.

Stuff that was previously illustrative of Ranger Batt (Rustoleum helmets, ACUs, PVS14s, unpainted weapons) is no longer - I imagine part of it has to do with the change in theatres, and the different challenges Afghanistan poses.

The last rangers I saw face to face were in February and had the dark grey painted up helmets and Ranger Green kit. But this wasn't in country, and they were wearing Tan boots and ACU's, though still in the field.

Not to argue with you at all, My brother and Bestfriend are Rangers and My brother is heading back to Iraq next month!

He told me Rangers do not use glocks because of there Inaccuracy, I dont know were you got this from but its inaccurate. I think you should check your source again!. Just my two cents. . .

Glocks arent standard issue for Rangers, but there are plenty of pics of US SOF using them..

Generally, when on duty some Rangers have enough leniency to choose their own sidearm, but, as previously stated, generally only DMs and heavy weapon Rangers carry sidearms.

Does anyone know if Rangers use Paraclete Plate Carriers?

No. The Paraclete Plate Carrier at this point is several years old, and a couple generations in gear design behind.
The more modern version of it is the SOHPC, as seen here:


Rangers use the MBAV, which is essentially the Eagle Plate carrier with sewn in soft armor.
