Bioval BBB Max and safety

I was wondering if the Bioval BBB Max BBs were safe to use at games, and if they are if they are worth the money. I did a bit of searching and found a topic on this about a year ago but it was mostly speculation.

They are said to be more accurate, but they are 5.92mm, so I'm not entirely sure how they will be more accurate than 5.97mm bbs.

That being said, without actually seeing some side by side comparison of groupings, there is no way to be sure, and I've yet to find a side by side accuracy comparison.

The manufacturer sent out a shit ton of samples about 3 years ago, I believe around Future Soldier I, to both players and retailers. I would talk to anyone at Spokane Airsoft, as they have had more experience with them. I would also shoot an email to the guys at Precision Airsoft.

I know the guys who do the Airsoftology radio show love them. I might try them at some point, but I'm not totally okay with spending a penny per BB.

Wasn't there a report or an article or something a year or two ago that talked about how the Bioval BBBMax BB's were generally unsafe and penetrating car windshields and what not?

Something about the BB being ridged and not changing shape during impact which caused more energy to be transfered into the target object thus breaking thing, potentially eye protection.

Apparently those bbs that were cracking glass were also being shot at over 600fps and were either .24s or .27s

They transfer the same amount of energy, but because they do not deform the energy is transferred in a shorter time period resulting in a more powerful feeling impact.

The BIO BB's look nice, i want to get a bag, but 30$ a bag is to much for me... The 5.92mm thing seems interesting, as they claim that with tolerances like that, its ore accurate.. we shall see.

they're great, accurate, and come in a pretty huge selection of weights, but they are harder than glass, the bbs shattered my friends car window out of an agm m16a3 shooting around 430 fps
