The PDW just looks like more fun in my opinion.

Takes armalite magazines; smaller; easily maneuvered.

M14s are legit and all its just that they seem so; not small; and not easily maneuvered.

But it also depends on what role you plan to play, how you play, where you play etc.

Well the company's that make both those replica's (The M14 is a CYMA clone, the PDW is a Dboys, ECHO1 rebrands them)

The M14 is a fun gun, but is rather long. has a super sturdy gear box in it, but use's v7 Gears instead of the more common V2/V3 gears that most guns use. Its has a longer barrel for a tighter grouping at range.

The PDW pretty much mocks an M4. It house's the V2 Gear ox, has a nicer folding stock than like the M4 folding stock paratrooper version. It hasa short barrel though, so your grouping downrange will be "meh". It does use very easy to get parts (V3/V2 gears, Etc.) But the V2 gear box is not the best, it is one of the worst designed gear box's in my opinion.

I would say the PDW because of availability of parts, but it depends on what you like the best. Everyone says the V7 gearbox is a beast, but somehow I managed to crack the front off of two of them. Granted, they were both E1/AGM and I was running an Area 1000 metal piston head, but still...

The V3 gearbox is the best (IMO) out there. It can be somewhat difficult to work on due to the trigger design, but it's as tough as a tank.
For every action (Bang) there is an equal and opposite reaction (HIT!)

go for the pdw. on personal preference I think they look awesome and m14s are kinda weird to me. Plus you will be much more versitile with the pdw.
