M4 Magazines?

Postby pseudoanimosity » Mon Aug 30, 2010 2:58 pm

I'm buying an AirsoftGi custom M-4, and I was looking at some midcaps to go with it, but I'm unsure as of what to get. I noticed the G&G midcaps are very nice, but they're extremely expensive (65$ for 5). What's a good bang for your buck midcap that won't jam up when filled with bios? Also, it would be nice if it came in a box set of either 8 or 10.

I use MAG brand midcaps. They work and only cost something like 60 for 8.

have you ever loaded them with bio bbs? i had a set of MAG midcaps for my mp5, and they jammed up and broke when i loaded them with high polish bios. no one else out of the 7 others i was playing with had any problem with the particular bbs we were using, and they were all using midcaps as well

I've used both bios and non bios in them extensively, with no problem.

if you get the MAGs don't forget some silicone oil, the mags are fussy when they're dry.

My first set of M4 mags was a set of 8 MAG plastic midcaps. They didn't fit or feed well in my G&G (ASGI custom guns are mostly G&G as well). They also have a major design flaw in that the seam is very weak and prone to wanting to split apart. Eventually, I upgraded to a set of 10 G&G midcaps, plus one extra. I love 'em. Metal is the way to go.

I have 4 MAG mids for my M4 and I don't really like them. They always tend to misfeed even after lubing. Go King Arms instead. I've run those in my M14, G36, and most of my team members use KA in their M4's. Never had a misfeed with them, and they're cheap.

Those mags are pretty nice for 60$! Full metal too!
