A few Moe Handguard questions

Postby CCCman » Fri Sep 03, 2010 9:46 pm

Okay I have a few questions about the magpul moe handguard.

Moe handguard i will buy- http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info ... s_id=30869

1. The only rails I see for it is the one that comes with 1 long and 2 short rails and it is $22. It looks good so i plan on buying it but i want a long rail not a short one. So i looked at an m4 handguard rail. Will that fit on an moe handguard?

2. I heard many people say they can fit a 9.6v 1600mah mini battery in the moe handguard but i tried putting one in my friend's moe handguard (same one that i'm getting) but we can't get it to fit for some reason. I have even seen videos of people installing 9.6 mini's easily with no problems. I'm planning on buying a 9.6v 1600mah mini nun chuck. Will that fit in the moe handguard?

Nunchuck battery that i plan on getting- http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_info ... s_id=29458

I can't answer your second question, but for your first question, most likely. In fact on my MOE hand guards I used G36C rails and went to my local ACE and grabbed some washers, nuts, and bolts and was able to put it on firmly. So if you buy that rail and you learn it doesn't work. I'd advise doing my option. Keep in mind when you're buying the hardware you make sure the bolt will be able to fit through the hole of the rails, the MOE hand guard and be tall enough to fit the washer and nut but no to tall where it hits the outer barrel.

Not at all as long as the nut is firmly on the handguard.

there are two MOE handguards, the actual magpul one and a chinese copy. the copy comes with rails (2 short and 1 long) and will fit a 9.6v mini. the real magpul does not come with rails and while it fit an 8.4v mini on mine, i think a 9.6 would be tough. might have better luck with the nunchuck though. the chinese one is also cheaper, but doesnt feel quite as nice as the magpul.

the one i'm gettin is the real one not the copy. I might go to a store and try fitting it in the handguard before buying it
