I fear i have a fake KWA

I've read that there are KWA fakes in the market which lead me to great concern as I am owner of a KWA myself.

I own a KWA M4 Tactical, which I noticed was virtually sold out everywhere, I only found two retailers selling the product.

When I recieved my AEG, the rear sight was missing. I contacted the vendor (evike) and they have said they will send me the missing peice. I am puzzled to why that would be removed to begin with. The sight they are sending me is not an original KWA peice, but from another company.

When I inspected the AEG I noticed the SIR style foregrip wobbles, I at first thought that was normal until I looked into other reviews of the same gun saying that the foregrip was solid and did not wobble.

Lastly, and most damning is that the lower half of the fore grip is plastic and I can clearly see BOYI SR System engraved on the right side of the third rail.

It is to my suspicion that I indeed have a KWA M4 body, but with a D-Boys SIR Rail installed on it. (Are D-Boys and BOYI one in the same?) Doesn't KWA have their own SIR foregrip to install?

If anyone has a simliar issue or knows more details I'd be happy to hear. I'm kind of irritated by this fact as I paid good money for this AEG only to realize it may not be the actual product I intended to purchase and is in reality an assembled imposter.

i believe that the actual KWA S system actually does have a plastic lower half foregrip with metal rails (correct me if i am wrong)
i feel that this is an evike problem with the rear sight.

KWA guns will not come with anything but KWA parts on them. they are very particular about that, KWA wont even let retailers warranty repair guns with non-KWA parts.

Yeah...I'm looking at photos of KWA m4 and I can tell right away that the the hand guard on the real KWA and on mine are slightly different. For one, the rails are always near the front and mine are in the middle. Most blatant is that on the real one you can see the delta ring still attached and on mine it's been removed. I also noticed the real ones have the gas tube above the barrel which mine lacks entirely...This is very disconcerting.

Evike fail! Man I would ship that back and ask for a store credit (Evike will refund your money but charge you a 30% restocking fee). Get an RMA number and ship it back via UPS ground (hopefully they can refund your shipping to).

I believe Evike was out of stock and put together a KWA M4 clone. I feel for you! I had nothing but bad experiences about them. I'm beginning to think that Evike is WalMart of airsoft in the US.

The body has all the KWA markings in the right places as far as I can tell. I'm not expert on gear boxes so I won't open it up. I've e-mailed evike about this asking for answers. I want to keep my gun, but I'm upset I was cheated.

Opfor, the reason everyone is sold out of the rifle is because KWA is no longer importing them. Basically the company that makes the real SIR system threatened to sue them if they kept bringing it in so they politely told them they were sorry for offending SIR and stopping importing it. If I were you I would contact KWA USA directly and let them know whats going on. They have an AWESOME customer service department and I'm willing to bet they will work with you to get to the bottom of things. If you want I can get you contact info for KWA.

Tell me, does it have a shiny metal body with a KWA logo on the magwell?

They probably just put a dboys S system RIS on a KWA M4 and called it one of their "custom" guns.

Thats exactly what they did. They even emailed me saying that. The website is decieving, the AEG should be placed in their custom guns section but if you check out what I got it's under the regular electric guns listing for KWA. Didn't realize that until now. The KWA logo is lasered along with serial number and model type on the left side of the magwell, it is a black matte finish.

look in the magazine well, a genuine KWA will have a visible yellow sticker on the bottom of the gearbox that says "do not take the seal off"

I've ordered two body kits from Evike. Both of them were missing parts. They sent me replacement parts but I have the feeling they just took out of the next guy's body kit to do it.

Lol, probably from mine. And yes, there is a yellow seal in the mag well. I just got the missing sight sent to me, it works but is plastic and I'm afraid it could break, we'll see.
