Masada vs. M249

Postby Strikerz » Wed Sep 15, 2010 8:02 pm

I have narrowed down my search. I like both of these guns alot! I have noticed a lot of people with the M249, but i know they cost a shit ton. Which one would be better.

What sort of M249? A CA one will set you back more than an A&K or Echo1.

Dude, how much do you weight? I cannot see this ending well... a 14 year old lugging around a M249. It is going to be heavy, and I think the weight will turn you off to it really fast.

Hey guess what? No one cares... Go somewhere where people actually care about that.

Anyway go for the Masada. I heard A&K M249s aren't so great, and after a good day of playing I think your going to regret getting a heavy gun.

Jeez, people need to learn to get what makes THEM happy, not what other people think is cool. Get whichever one YOU think is cool.

These are actually the two main weapons i field right now. The masada is a solid gun with very few faults. The rear sight is garbage and will fall apart on you and the stock tends to extend without pushing down on the buttons. Everything else is quite excellent. The biggest complaint against the A&K 249 is that the trigger will stick on occasion, which can be annoying as all hell. It can be fixed if you know what to do.

That's what happened at Fallout? ahahahahaha I remember hearing someone whaling on their saw for a solid minute or so and wondered what the hell was going on!

Anyway, given the choice between a Masada and an M249, I'd go with the Masada. The M249 is heavy, and while you may describe yourself as a big burly dude, carrying that big 'ol hunk of gun around all day at an op is going to get old. Assault rifles are lighter and more versatile, and are the best for most new players until they figure out if they would actually like to try out a specialized role.
