I personally love LMGs, but most people hate them once they use them. They're a phony pony to carry, you go through tons of BBs (making them expensive), you instantly become a target every time you fire, they can be particularly finicky, and overall they bring a lot of annoyances to the table. Assault rifles are easier to play with and allow a far wider style of play. Their only advantage is they allow a lot of fire for an extended period, but it's not like it's an instant death machine for all who face it. Really, you limit yourself usually to not getting many kills, instead being in a support role of suppression.

Basically, I'm telling you to really think of lugging around an LMG around all day. Go with the Masada for now. Then, maybe later, go for an LMG.

Yeah i sold my A&K saw after three years of use (it was a good one and not a lemon as the most would get) in lew of a RS type-56. I find myself not using even a tenth of the bb's i used to not even going threw a single battery in a day (opposed to using 2 or 3 1400mah 11.1v batteries in a day) also i find that simply perform better and feel better at the end of the day, then simply feeling sore and like shit at the end of a game.

I have 2 questions for you. 1 How long have you been playing airsoft? (not in the back yard with your buddies but really playing?) 2 why do you want a support weapon? (It is a heavy and expensive platform to use. Buying the gun is the cheap part. Keeping it feed and up and running is the expensive part.
With that said, Get the gun that makes you happy.

Glad I could help. It is a great job but a very large investment to be a support gunner.
