What? :?

Are you looking for an assult rifle to strap a drum mag too (please don't) or an actual M249/M60/Chainfedwhatever?

EDIT: Are you really 40?

SAWs (M249) are really cool, but i am not willing to put up with the crappy box mag and the block of gear box in it.

Get the new CYMA RPK, and run the 800rnd High caps in it. SEXY.

Box mags for M249 are not crappy, and what is wrong with the gear box. The PGC style M249 gear box's is one of the best gear box designs.

This is an m249 SAW:

This is a G36k:

This is an AK47:

At no point will adding a drum mag to either the G36k or the AK47 make them magically transform into the m249.

If you want an assault rifle with a drum mag, that's fine. Just be ready to get laughed at and probably kicked out of games for having the wrong mag type.

If you want an actual m249 saw, then look for actual m249 saws.

Just please don't in the future say you want a saw, then say you are looking at a g36 or ak47. It makes you look like a dork :)

I would say get the CA. I have the A&K and love it but I have done a lot of work on the guns internals and still the fit and finish of the exterior does not match as well as I would like. I want to know I will be able to support my fire team or squad any time they need it and over the past 2 years I have realized I need the CA and plan to buy one in the future. I am not saying I am unhappy with the A&K but I know I would be happier with the CA and wish I had saved the money and purchased the Classic Army in the first place.

"It was proposed as a squad automatic variant of the H&K G36, however it was abandoned after the Bundeswehr withdrew interest in the project."

Proto-typed, It was never actually made. There were massive issues with the bolt carrier group that needed to be corrected that they didn't want to put the time and money in to developing. Instead they have this: H&K 23E and developed this H&K MG4 which is currently in use with the German Military as it's SAW.

He's going to buy it soon? Does that mean he has dibs? If it's there, in stock, and somebody else buys it first, there's really not much you can do about that.
