KWA G36 vs. ICS M4 R.I.S

Postby Bravo6 » Wed Oct 06, 2010 3:55 pm

Has anyone ever owned and/or used an ICS M4 R.I.S ver. or a KWA G36C ? If you have, could you give me some feedback on the performance ?

Thanks.

They are both a bit different...but will both work well.
I recommend you make your choice based on aesthetics.

This is just my personal experience, but if it's an older model ICS, I wouldn't go for it. The one I had had problem after problem, one after the other. The motor died about 600 rounds in, and the gears had a HORRIBLE tendancy to lock up at the worst times. Unless you plan on doing some upgrading, I wouldn't choose it.

Once again, just my experiences. I could have gotten a lemon, who knows. I've heard that the new ICS models are actually pretty decent, and still utilize the split-gearbox design, which makes changing springs much easier.

i have a KWA G36, i wasnt really impressed by it, but it gets the job done with a lipo. I honestly would rather have a Classic army G36K or an umarex.

I'd go for the ICS, cause you can switch between CQC and field FPS in about 30 seconds thanks to it's split gearbox.

I've heard that, and always been surprised. Mine must have been a lemon.

Last friggin' time I order from Kapowwe...

iv actually experienced the absolute opposite. The KWA G36 has great internals except for one major flaw, the hop up sucks, so be ready to upgrade it. but the externals are spot on except for the top rail is plastic rather than metal. Other than those two problems, it was a great gun.

Whoa ! I didn't even know they had split gearboxes ! If that's the case, the ICS M4 might be the choice.
