I'm in the market for lipo charger as well since I'm moving on to lipo (lipo noob here). This charger is tempting in terms of its price. Wonder if it's decent enough to do the job safely.. http://www.acmgear.com/product_info.php ... cts_id=520

BTW The link and price I posted above has been changed. ;)

How do you know? Has he hooked the batteries he uses up to something that can check the batteries health? The cheap charger he is using could be taking a toll on the batteries he is using. You might no notice it as it probably happen over a long time but your 1600mah battery might be down to 1000mah after a year. Or a any time the battery or charger can fail suddenly. Its also possible that 1 out of 10 of these fails in a month he just happened to get a good one.

Thing is in order to make these products cheaper they have to cut corners somewhere. Parts, labor, quality control ect. Something has to be cut in order to make things cheaper. Sometimes it doesn't seem to make a difference and the cheaper model works just as well but often times it does.
If the cheap model worked just as well then no one would buy the more expensive ones then they would stop making them and only sell the cheap ones. They cost more for a reason.

Sorry for the rant I'm not saying his charger is bad it could be good, I just don't think you have enough info to make a call on it and I hate it when people take there one short uniformed personal experience with something and then talk like they know all the in and outs.
One mag one kill.

Don't buy stuff from acmgear.com! they had my $ for two months and never ship out my stuff or email me the status. I finally report to paypal & got my money back.
Just get the Porte charger than I have, size of a cigarette box with built in balancer.

That's about 4x the price of what I bought and does the same thing, in the same way, and is almost identical... Mine's also been going strong for over a year.

League4, You are telling me you got yours delivered to your house for $9.75? I call BS.

Okay it was $.25 more than a fourth, my bad.

10 Delivered? What was the winning bid?
I guess my point is if you can find it cheaper great but if not you know they have them at AONW and you can go get it tomorrow since they are about to close for the day.
Also make sure you are not selling your self short by setting your max amount to pay for one in the unreal range.

Sweet Deal. Did it have a power source? All the ones I see on E-bay for that price do not. All I was doing is showing the guy where he can go to buy it locally.
Great deal though.

You will need the wall plug for it.

You can charge all types of batteries, at different amps. Etc. really nice.

Yeah, it had the wall plug in power source part too, surprisingly.
