SCAR issue

Postby Strikerz » Sat Oct 16, 2010 11:40 am

I was shooting my scar this weekend to get the sights lined up and it stopped working. I will pull the trigger and you can feel something inside move but nothing happens. I havent shot it for over a month and the battery has just been sitting around. My best guess would be i either neglected the battery or overcharged it, Any help is appreciated. I am not sure how else to describe what is happenng sorry

Charge your battery and try it again.

Charged it for four hours and nothing. And no it was not lipo, it was the stock battery (Which could be the problem)

I had this happen to my '47 right before the piston went out. What it was for me was the first tooth on the piston was so worn down, the gear's first tooth would slip past and it jammed between the first and second gear tooth. At first it happened only occasionally, so I would simply take a micro screwdriver and manually cycle the gears past it. Eventually the piston's tooth was so worn out it wouldn't catch anymore, and I had to replace it.

Or it could be the battery. That one is easier to fix, get a new battery or recondition it.

do you have a volt meter? Test the battery and see what the voltage is 1st. Start at the most basic possible cause and work your way up to the more complex.
