JG G36s are pretty good for the price, just know that they are a little squeaky (because they are made of abs plastic).

Mine lasted over 70,000 rounds before I upgraded it, just beware that like the CA they need new wiring/contacts after around 20,000 rounds.

Ahh...well maybe I'll stick with the ARES then since that's the only brand sites seems to stock. Also, the leagues I've looked into limit FPS to non sniper weapons to 400 with .20 bb's. I've seen the stock ARES G36 chrono at up to 415 fps. Will that basically disqualify the use of this gun?

That was probably new out of the box, after a few hundred rounds the spring should settle in around 350-375fps.

Echo 1/JG just released their newest batch of G36's and they are now made with a reinforced plastic! Pretty good deal. I doubt you will find a CA. Anyway, here is a link to the new E1 G36's:
